Day #2 Building a Tiny House

Day #2 Building a Tiny Home

Hello to All Our Awesome Subscribers:

We have ran into a little bump in the road today realizing that the trailer that we wished to use on our tiny home can only hold up to 7000 lbs of cargo, which may not be enough for our tiny home.

Even though we have not built a tiny home yet, we have found that the average weight of a tiny home may be about 10,000 lbs. So we finally found a trailer today called a "Big Bubba" trailer that is 18 feet long that can hold up to 12,000 lbs in cargo, which is more than enough.

The reason why we need a trailer to hold at least 2,000 lbs more than the projected load that we will place is that once you buy our tiny home, there will be people living in there along with their belongings which may increase the weight by 1,000-2,000 lbs.

Also don't forget that we are adding 60 gallons of water and also sewage into this factor.

Finally I hear that if you live in California driving an F350 or 3500 pickup, you may be required to pull through truck scales even though you are not hauling a load for business.

So it is a good thing we are getting this issue completely figured out before we start our framing tomorrow.

Please stay tuned on how we will be framing our tiny home tomorrow and let us know if you
have any questions in regards to using our services.

Thanks
Mike
